Alaskan Ulu Board - 8.5" x 8.5" x 1.5"

The ulu board is a square block of wood with a circular depression smoothly hollowed out of the center. It is designed with a slot at the top of the board for resting the knife when not in use. Accompanying the board is a beautifully curved and incredibly sharp knife. The gently curved shape of the ulu allows the force to be centered more over the middle of the blade than an ordinary knife. The rocking motion used when cutting on the ulu board holds down the item being cut, it is also easier to use the ulu one-handed.
