Custom board for Nancy - Total Home Run
It only took me a few seconds to discern that Nancy wanted a extra-ordinary gift for her brother. It was apparent that they had a special closeness for many years. This cutting board was to by his 70th birthday present.
Building a custom board
Upon listening to Nancy describe what she was looking for, I guided her through the various options. She chose to have a juice groove cut into the top of the board. The board was built with legs to raise it off the counter top. Handles were cut into the side and a special message was engraved into the bottom of the board. To top things off, the board was accented with cherry and walnut as a reminder to the trees that grew on the old home place
"A Total Home Run", Nancy replied, "I was thrilled with the cutting board as was Stan!! The wood and workmanship was beautiful."
