Chosen Stones - Our Story
Chosen Stones is more than just a name for us. It encapsulates so much of what we believe and is deeply meaningful because of what it represents. The name Chosen Stones represents to us a vision for our family business. It was taken from the Biblical account of David and Goliath.
The narrative of the account begins with the nation of Israel in deep distress. The Philistines were harassing them and making excursions across their border. The Philistine army was camped right on the border and their presence was a constant threat. To make matters worse, out of the Philistine rank came a giant by the name of Goliath. He stood in stature of about 9 feet and all men trembled before him. He came daily to curse and make threats against the Israelites and their God.
It so happened that a young shepherd boy visiting his brothers in the Israelite army overheard the cursing and threatening of the giant. David, being young in years but strong in character was appalled by Goliath’s threats and wondered why no one in the camp of Israel met the giant’s challenge. Since no one else was willing to fight the giant, David rose to the task.
David chose five smooth stones from the brook. Likewise our family has been blessed with five wonderful children. We view each one as a blessing from God and have a desire that each one would fulfill the purpose that He has chosen for them. Our vision for Chosen Stones is that it would provide a means to train, equip and teach our children to have that “David type” of strength of character. Character that includes diligence, integrity and striving for excellence.
With that purpose being our goal, we attempt to create products that are useful, durable, and a pleasure to use. May each bring happiness in its use and value in its longevity
